Today is my 50th Birthday.
Chris took the day off from work and we went to Hudson for the day. I brought my camera along so I can show you some pictures from our day. By the way, Chris turns 53 on Thursday.
We had lunch at a restaurant in Hudson called the Vue. I chose Frutti de Mare which means Fruit of the Sea. This dish consisted of one huge scampi, lots of tiny shrimp and several mussels over a bed of black squid-ink pasta. Here is a picture of the restaurant.

Then it was off to the yarn shop. (Yes Margaret, this is your influence.) I bought Yarn and a pattern for a simple purse. This shop was called Miss Chickpea’s Funky Fibers. Isn’t that a great name?
We also vistited Heather’s heat and flavor. It is a gourmet hot sauce and spice shop. We bought alot of goodies there including Red Raspberry Wasabi Mustard and Roasted Raspberry Chipolte Sauce. You can check them out HERE.
We also checked out the Wild Bird Center of Hudson and I tried to buy a bird feeder made of a piece of wood with holes drilled in it for suet. Chris convinced me not to buy it and promised to make one for me.
It was a nice way to spend my Birthday!
