My white trillium

My white trillium is a wildflower that has bloomed every year that we have lived here. That would be 26 years, considering we moved into this house in 1982. Someone told me that trillium are illegal to pick, not that I would ever pick mine.

I don’t recognize it o_o where is it?
Is it rare-ish?

In the front yard, in front of the wrap around porch. In the group of trees surrounded by a patch of myrtle. Same place as the new birdfeeder in the next post.

It’s good to see an old timer still bloom after a quarter centiry! We get to see about an acre or two of trillium out at the reservoir every year. Since yours is blooming, I should get out there and see if it’s blooming there as well. I will try to get a picture of it for the blog as it is pretty spectacular.
