I think Hostas are my favorite perennial. I have them everywhere. I think I'll do a Hosta post someday. Yours are big and beautiful. Great idea to hide the well.

Thank-you for the complement! I don't have too much trouble with rabbits. I am not sure why. We do have a lot of deer in this area and someone unseen has been digging up the dirt of Ben's newly planted herb seeds!

Your plants and flowers always look lovely. How do you keep the rabbits away? I am having such trouble this year.

I asked Chris if he remembers this and he thinks that you are remembering my mom's water cooler. The part about CLeveland city water tasting nasty in summer is true. The algea makes the water taste oily.

I seem to remember that you had it because of some algea that grew on Lake Erie in the spring, and you didn't like to drink the city water...or maybe I'm just crazy and have concocted this story in my head..

Wow, you have a much better memory than me, I don't even remember that. But it makes perfect sense that I would have had that. I grew up with Mini Ha Ha delivered water and the glug glug cooler. It was one of my mom's favorite luxuries.
When ever we prepare for a big storm around here, we fill up our big pots full of water, for drinking and cooking. The bathtub is filled so we can flush the tiolets.

Do you still have a "glub glub" water cooler (for emergency power outages) like you did in your Cleveland apartment way back when?
