Lamb’s Ears
A few years ago, I visited a garden center called Bluestone Perennials with my sister, Rosemary. They were having a big sale and we loaded up on plants. One of my purchases was called Lamb’s ears.
Lambs Ears get their name from their soft fuzzy leaves. I planted six plants in a Sweet William patch and I am pleased to say that they start blooming when the Sweet William starts to fade.
Lambs Ears can be invasive and some people consider it more of a weed than a plant. For me this means that it is just another groundcover with flowers that lends itself well to a naturalized garden. Bird, bees and butterflies are attracted to it and it is deer resistant.
