WEIRD BUG FRIDAY
Weird Bug Friday
I had no Idea what this bug was when I found it the other day. I did google it, and i am fairly certain that it is a milk weed beetle. I also think the plant he is sitting on is actually milkweed. You may think this is not wierd at all but it is to me because having never seen one before, I actually thought at first that it was a mutant lady bug!Want more of weird object Friday? It does look like a lady bug - weird.
It also looks like it has a smilie face on the head.

Maybe we should rename it the smilie face beetle.

I love colorful bugs… that’s a great one.

They also come in blue, but the red are more striking.

He’s pretty. I wonder if he sticks around until the milkweed goes to seed, and makes a wish on one of those fluffy seeds?

I do believe a ladybug mated with a lightning bug. Does it blink red in the dark?
Comment by Ben — July 25, 2008 @ 11:24 pm
The only time he blinks red is when he is flying over an INterSECTion!
