The property next door has 22 acres. For twenty years, the house to our east was abandoned and falling apart. One year ago the owners tore the house down.
It’s amazing how fast the land has gone back to nature. I imagine that if it is left alone, It will eventually turn back into forest, which is fine by me.
I hope it stays like that for you. If it was my area, they’d have houses up in no time.

We never complained during all those years because the owners were considering the idea of selling off that land to a developer. We could still up with a cul de sac of houses next door but maybe we’ll get lucky and have a forest.
