The Rug
The Rug
Lately we have a new nickname for Rikki. We have been calling him the rug because he lies on the floor, usually in front of a door, just like a door mat or a rug. I have to be very careful about carrying a full laundry basket when I can’t see what’s on the floor ahead of me, because he dosen’t move out of the way and is easily stepped on!
I’ll bet you didn’t know that a rug could yawn!

That last picture is precious.
You should move him to in front of the fireplace. He could take the place of a bearskin rug.

I got a stuffed cat as a gift once. It was flat like a rug–
but the idea/joke behind it was ‘road kill cat’; isn’t that terrible!!?
I don’t have it anymore, I threw it away. But it would have made for a good WOF. ha!

Margaret, That would be an improvement because if we moved him infront of the fireplace, he wouldn’t be in danger of being tripped over!
Jen, Our family really believes that he was lucky to be taken in by us, because if he had lived with a family that did let him outside, he would have been road kill long ago. He’s not the sharpest crayon in the pack! Also a road kill stuffed animal fits right in with my family’s warped sense of humor!
