Wind Storm
Getting back to normal
Last Sunday we had a huge wind storm. It toppled an electrical transformer that was two houses away, resulting in a loss of power that lasted for almost a week. This is a picture of one of the trees that we lost from the back yard.
You can see from this picture where that tree abruptly snapped off. We were so lucky because the wind was blowing from the west and the tree fell sideways. It could have destroyed our garage if it had fallen in a different direction.
But as you can tell from this picture of Chris, we are making some progress with the cleanup. I hope all of you are safe and have made it though all bad weather we have been experiencing.
Glad it missed your garage and you! That’s not a pine tree, is it? At least you get some good firewood out of the deal.

Hi Margaret! It is a locust tree. Most of the trees in our yard are locusts. They are a good hard wood for fires.

I guess mother nature decided you needed to lose a few more trees,
besides the ones you were clearing out a couple weeks ago.
Thank goodness no injuries with these!
Two days without power was enough for us; it gets old fast. Glad you are back on.

There was I tree in the side yard that I wanted cut down. Chris decided against removing it. It was one of the trees we lost to the storm. I guess I got my way after all.
