Weird Ring Friday
My Grandfather’s ring
M y mother’s parents were really into bug jewelry. I have no idea why. This beetle ring belonged to my grandfather Edward. I never met him, as he died when my mom was pregnant with me. I do know that my name starts with an E in remembrance of him. I often wish that I had been able to know him. I bet he was an interesting character.

With a ring like that, he must have been interesting! I bet he was a fun person to be around.

That is strange. Wonder if there was a special signifigance to him about it? I guess it’s a good thing you only got the E from him for your name and not the whole name from him; he may have named you something like ant or stink bug. lol

A unique keepsake to remember someone with. I’ve never seen anything like it.

Pigeon - cool… I wish you had been able to know him, too… that’s the only part that bugs me…

I’m so sorry you didn’t get to know your grandpa. I had one Grandpa growing up; the other died long before I was born. I was pregnant with Jordan when he died. I always wished that he could have known Jordan. He loved little girls and I was always his favorite. You just stirred up a lot of good memories for me with this post.
