Weird Silveware Friday

Weird Silverware Friday

These pieces belonged to my mother and grandmother.  They are actually silver not gold, but I liked the way this picture came out so I used it.   I have no idea what their special uses might be.  Let me know if you do.

  1. Wow, some of those really are weird! You should put them out at Thanksgiving and see what people do.

  2. I like the one with the star in the handle. Some thing to strain things.?
Those little tongs are for sugar cubes?? You know at ladies tea parties.
Pie server. Meat fork; the one with the two long prongs.? As you can see, I am guessing here.
I am really curious about the second one from the left at the top. And the one that looks like a rake.

  3. Margaret - That would be amusing to watch.
Jen - I like your guesses. The rake thingy is a mystery. It kinda looks like one of those zen sand garden rakes.

  4. You have discovered a set of silverware belonging to some alien vagabond from a planet far from us.

  5. Could be. Some of the pieces might work for eating alien food.
