Do you remember the tree that broke in half during the September wind storm, which added to the mess of downed trees in our back yard? HERE is the picture, if you need a memory refresher.
The reason that tree snapped off in the middle was that is hollow inside.
Do you think this hole might be a home for squirrels?

I saw a lot of the downed trees were like that after those
hurricane winds this summer. They look healthy on the outside,
yet they are hollow.
