Weird picnic Friday

I guess it’s snow cones for dinner again.
Rikki and Simone

Simone is visiting us again. She is my daughter Megan’s cat.

Rikki is always happy when Simone is visiting. They love to hang out together.
A Caption Contest

Can you think of a good caption for this photo? If so, please leave me one when you comment.

Here are three rainbow prisms for the prizes. The first place winner will be picked by my family, and the 2nd & 3rd place winners will be chosen randomly. You must leave your email address to comment here anyway, so I will be able to get in touch with the winners. The first place winner will have the first pick. The contest will close Friday at midnight. I will post the names of the winners over the weekend.
Black Crow

This photograph reminds me of a silhouette.
uninvited visitor

I had been wondering why all the sudden, the suet feeders were getting picked clean so quickly, and now I have my answer.

This squirrel and his three friends have discoverd my feeders.

The birds that are used to being fed in my yard are not pleased.
Weird finger pointing Friday

This photo was taken in the early eighties, at my parent’s home. Can’t you tell by the style of my glasses? Anyway, What exactly are Chris and I looking at so seriously and who is pointing that stern finger ??? (I have no idea)

Little sparrow

I have been visited by many of these little sparrows over the course of the winter.

The dark dot in the middle of this sparrow’s breast is a marking of the American Tree Sparrow

These little birds winter here with us, then migrate northward, just south of the tundra, into Canada every Spring.

Sparrrows are seed eaters, and actually prefer the habitat of brush over trees, for building their nests.
Peace

This is one of my favorite necklaces. It was made in the 1960’s, as a symbol of protest to the Vietnam war.
I have had this necklace for almost 40 years. It originally belonged to my sister Rosemary. It’s one of my favorite pieces of Jewelry, and I believe whole heartedly in it’s message.
