Tufted Titmice
Tufted Titmice
These gray and white birds are easily identified by their light brown sides, white breasts, and a tuft on feathers on the top of their heads.
They build their homes in hollow tree cavities, cup shaped nests, or abandoned woodpecker holes. They may also choose to live in your bird house. Attract this cute little bird by offering him sunflower seeds.

I love this little bird! Of course, I think I love all little birds like this! We never see these little guys even tho we do have sunflower seed in our feeder. Thanks for posting pictures of yours.

I love their BIG eyes… We have them regularly at our feeders and I just love them!!!! Recently I heard one of our tufted making a new sound, kinda like a high-pitched squeak… wonder if it is a ‘mating’ call of some kind????
Have a great day.
Hugs,
Betsy

Titmice always make me smile. Sometimes they come down and land on the feeder while I am filling it.
