Sweet William in February
Sweet William in February
When I took that walk around my yard a couple days ago, I also saw the beginings of my Sweet William. This perennial flower was planted by the family that lived in our house before us. We moved here in 1982. Since then I have continued the to transplant this pretty pink flower to many other locations in my yard. If you visit this link you can see what I have to look forward to, around the middle of June.

I looked at the link and couldn’t believe how pretty that Sweet William looks. I love your backyard and how naturalized it is. I could sit out there all day and enjoy.

It is encouraging to see any signs of life out in the yard right now! Spring can’t be too far away!

Hello Elise, Hope you are having a wonderful day! I like your Sweet William. We have Periwinkle, a ground cover which spreads and grows almost year-round. We have transplanted it all over the yard –to act as a ground cover –and to help with drainage (since our yard slopes). The little flowers are blue–but so pretty in various places around the yard. Can’t wait to see the pink flowers of your Sweet William.
Looks like spring is coming… Ya think???? I hope so!!!
Hugs,
Betsy

I am so happy you walked in your yard
Because every winter we think it’s too hard
Seeing all of the green and it starts to sprout
I know you are glad you were out and about
