Just a few things

Just a few things

I can’t Believe how close this pileated woodpecker gets to my front picture window.   I see him every day now.

Simone has gone back home with my daughter Megan, and Rikki has lost his bird watching buddy.

This dried astilbe is still standing in my front garden.   to view what it looked like last summer, look HERE.

  1. Hi Elise, Love your pictures with that red background. Our big trees are close to our house also—so those woodpeckers do get close. I had a Pileated at my suet feeder on my deck once. At least I only saw him ONCE.

Sorry Rikki lost a friend. I’m sure Rikki’s very sad these days!!!! But–bird watching is special even though Rikki can’t have a bite or two…Ha

    Have a wonderful day.
    Hugs,
    Betsy

  2. Those pileated woodpeckers remind me of something prehistoric.

  3. You are watching the birds, right? So Rikki has a new buddy :)

Send a pileated my way, please.
