Brass Earrings made by me!

Brass Earrings made by me!

I have been taking a class about making jewelry since mid January and I’m having a lot of fun with it.

I made this pair of earrings.   First I created the design.   Then, I cut out the shapes with a special hand saw.   Holes were placed at the top with a hand drill, to slip the ear wire into.   And finally, I used Chris’s DREMEL with a stone grinding head to create the texture.

  4. Susie - I do love working with my hands. It’s very satisfying.

Jen- I hope to learn how to make lots of different pieces, bracelets included. But I must admit that I have a thing for earrings.

Betsy- They did have some pretty sharp weapon like points, but I filed them down.

  6. In response to your comment on my blog:

Pam pretty much laughed off my missed appointment. She KNOWS I’m not usually this scatter-brained. I did tell her if she needed to charge me to go ahead. I think they don’t when it’s just the dental hygenist you are seeing. Maybe if I was seeing the dentist they would.

On the other hand, I’ve been going there over ten years (EVERY SIX MONTHS) and have never missed before. Oh geez … I hope my mind comes home soon. I miss it. ;-)
