Funny what kids will come up with.
Our dog Amy is actually Amy Doodle Square Head Wiggle Butt.
And we had a cat named Harvey Lipshit once. But these names came from
my husband. ha!

My car has a name too! It has a bad habit of locking us in automatically, so it’s name is Audrey 2. The original Audrey is people eating plant from the movie “little shop of horrors”.

When I grew up, we had a cat named Five. My brother named her, because she was the fifth member of the family. I named our second cat growing up- Pineapple.

Names are just so interesting. I was Elizabeth but for some reason, my parents called me Betsy. SO–when I had kids, I wanted none of them to have names that ended in ‘ey’ (like Jimmy or Bobby or Johnny, etc.)… SO I named my sons Bert (he’s a III–named after his father and grandfather), Mark and Jeff… Jeff is a Jeffrey–but we’ve always called him Jeff. One funny thing: Bert hated his name, so when he became an adult, he changed his name to Tre (for the III).. He’ll NEVER be Tre to me though!!!! ha

I do like family names –so all of mine have someone’s name in our family. You know about Bert.. Mark is named Mark Edgar (since my Daddy’s middle name was Edgar). AND–Jeff is named Jeffrey Bruce (which is a family name in both of our families).

Love your names for your animals!!! I especially like Bree.

Great stories! People often wonder how our Boston Terrier got her name “Seadra”. She’s almost 10 years old and at the time Caleb was 9. He choose the name after one of the pokemon characters.

Congrats on the new addition to the household. Bree is a good name.

We’ve had guinea pigs - Squeaky, Trip (3 colors), Dickens and Kosmo (named after Kosmo Kramer on Seinfeld because he had “Kramer” hair, all wild and crazy.

We’ve had hamsters/gerbils — Houdini (appropriately named, he could get out of ANY containment device , and Gizmo and Gadget.

We’ve had two dogs — Libby (gold) and Sam (black) (both labrador retrievers)

and one bird, Gus.

Stephen named all of them. Gus was named after the custodian at Stephen’s pre-school. Wonder if he felt honored? LOL
