Finch on a wire
I have a bird feeder that was difficult for me to fill because I needed a step stool to reach it. I redid the hanging wire on top ( I made it longer and stiffer) so I could slip it off the top of the hook with ease. As you can see, this little gold finch likes my redesigned wire much better too.
Those little guys can cling onto most anything, can’t they???? Glad they like your redesigned wire.. A couple of our hanging feeders are near the windows. Sometimes the finches grab hold of the screen and hang there –waiting on a spot at the feeder.

I always thought birds only liked HORIZONTAL wires. This proves otherwise!

They are amazing the way the cling onto things.
They hang on the sock feeder I have forever.
