Weird Web Comic Friday

Weird Web Comic Friday

Hi! Elise’s son Ben here to shamelessly plug the new webcomic my sister Megan and I are working on:

Cuddles the Friendly Spore
Cuddles the Friendly Spore!

“Cuddles the Friendly Spore is a comic about… uh… well we’re not sure, but it has a happy mushroom in it.” — Megan

Today’s post celebrates the new Star Trek movie. I’ve been a Trek fan (read: huge nerd) since I was a kid, so it seems appropriate to celebrate it on the release date of the new movie. Which is today.

Just click on Cuddles to be taken to his site!

  1. As a child of the sixties and seventies, I’m almost afraid to see where this mushroom thing is going.

  2. Oh no! It really doesn’t go there!

  3. Talking spores huh?
Glad to see it come to light.

  4. Ah, a cute, lovable spore! Well, if they can do it for a sponge, why not a spore?
Enjoy the new Trek - although a non-Nimoy Spock is hard for this old guy to take.

  5. I agree Ben. Leonard Nimoy is the only one who should play Spock.

  6. In response to your question on my blog …

I’ve had many pictures of orchids on my blog. They are all ones I’ve grown, but I don’t know that I’ve specifically said so.

Please feel free to email me if you need an orchid info.

  7. I just found a book at my Dad’s that was mine as a kid- “Mushrooms, Lichens, and Spores”. I used to go in my Grandmother’s woods and collect them by the hundreds and try to identify them. (Yes, I had some odd hobbies as a child.) Guess there was a time when I could have been your technical adviser! You guys are very clever.

  8. I’m a big Star Trek fan myself. I always watched it growing up. It’s funny to watch those old shows now. They are nothing compared to the big screen movies.
