Lately we have a new nickname for Rikki. We have been calling him the rug because he lies on the floor, usually in front of a door, just like a door mat or a rug. I have to be very careful about carrying a full laundry basket when I can’t see what’s on the floor ahead of me, because he dosen’t move out of the way and is easily stepped on!
I’ll bet you didn’t know that a rug could yawn!
Rikki doesn’t like to drink out of the water bowl.
He prefers this method of rehydration.

Unless it’s time to switch to coffee!
Simone is staying with us again as Megan is taking a class at The Penland School of Crafts in North Carolina. She and Rikki are inseparable.
I came back a few minutes later and discovered a kitty jumble.
Rikki does make a very soft pillow.
Rikki wants to go outside. Everytime we have tried to let him out he starts munching on poisenous plants. So, Ben and I googled cat leash and found the “Come with me kitty harness and bungee leash” I kid you not, it is really named this.
We have visions of a happy kitty that we take for long walks. So, off we go. NOT. All he wants to do is stay in one spot and mindlessly graze on the grass.

Pigeon is waiting for the birds to use the suet feeder above her. I think she is in for a very long wait.
Megan thought this picture of Pigeon should have been entitled “kittyflage”. She really does blend well into her surroundings.
