I love Netflix

If you were to ask me to list some of my favortie things, Netflix would rank very high on the list. I have always loved movies and to be truthful, I am more of a gourmand than a gourmet. This means that I enjoy the really bads ones too! Above is a sample of my high ratings for the thriller genre. You do have to click on this to read the list more clearly.

Here is a funny story for you: Chris’ mom wanted netflix but doesn’t own a computer. So I changed my account to get an extra movie for her to choose. She did have trouble getting it to play, as she was not used to operating the DVD player, but I was able to talk her through it. After watching the movie, she called back with another question. She asked me - “What button should I push to rewind the DVD???”
Happy April 1st!

My original thought was to do something more plausible for an April fools post, but as you can see it didn’t quite turn out that way because I over did it. I probably should have stuck with just one squirrel. Oh well!
Cut and paste

Ben came home over the weekend and taught me a new trick. I now understand how to cut a piece out of one photo, size it down, and insert it into another. I needed to keep practising, so I had to try it over and over and over. The result is quite ridiculous. Not only do Captain Kirk and Mr. Spock have their hands full with the tribbles, but they also have Rikki, who is taking a nap and lots of birdies to contend with.
Five things Elise would never say
Today Margaret has listed five things that she would never say and has dared her readers to do the same. So here goes.

I hate taking pictures.

My cat Rikki is so smart!

I love snow.

I never watch movies.

Nothing unusual goes on in my home.
5 things
In a recent post, Jen talked about five things that most people do not know about her and has issued a challenge for her readers to do the same, so here it goes.

I know how to read palms.

I can wallpaper a room without any help.

As a child, I was amadextrious and dyslexic. Having no dominant hand, I couldn’t even color with in the lines, which was a big deal in the 60’s, and I couldn’t do simple math because I reversed all the numbers.

A messy room drives me crazy!

I have a serious addition to Netflix. I have the four at a time plan. The movies I watch are not the typical block busters. I like foreign film, art film, thrillers, science fiction and old classic horror the best.
Here’s what happened:

Chris decided to move the picnic table and upset a very large nest of yellow jackets, who had built their nest underground. You can see the picnic table askew in the background! Aardvark pest control came to the rescue and problem solved. I think he looks like a ghostbuster!
Use your Imagination

Here is your chance to be creative and tell a story! This is a picture that I took from the safety of my greatroom. So, who is that man in my front yard in the strange white outfit? What is he doing? I will post the true story next time.
Here We Go

Jen challenged me to a katydid contest, that I thought would be pretty easy because I can hear them chirping loudly all over my yard. So I went outside with my camera, but the only bug I found was a fly! Fortunately for me, Ben came home from work and was up to the task!
Who has the largest Hosta of them all?
Margaret has challanged me to a “Hosta-off” to determine who has the biggest hosta. As you can see, I should win this competition easily.

It really is a group of my hostas that Ben has inserted in a cityscape for me. I was hoping he would teach me how he did this and he tried. I haven’t grasped how to do this myself as of yet.
