what it is

This is my cat Rikki’s tail.

Here is a picture of Rikki from a more flattering angle .
* Chris wants you to know that that was not his toupee, as he still has most of his hair!
Black Crow

This photograph reminds me of a silhouette.
uninvited visitor

I had been wondering why all the sudden, the suet feeders were getting picked clean so quickly, and now I have my answer.

This squirrel and his three friends have discoverd my feeders.

The birds that are used to being fed in my yard are not pleased.
Little sparrow

I have been visited by many of these little sparrows over the course of the winter.

The dark dot in the middle of this sparrow’s breast is a marking of the American Tree Sparrow

These little birds winter here with us, then migrate northward, just south of the tundra, into Canada every Spring.

Sparrrows are seed eaters, and actually prefer the habitat of brush over trees, for building their nests.
Peace

This is one of my favorite necklaces. It was made in the 1960’s, as a symbol of protest to the Vietnam war.
I have had this necklace for almost 40 years. It originally belonged to my sister Rosemary. It’s one of my favorite pieces of Jewelry, and I believe whole heartedly in it’s message.
Ben is on the radio!
I know this is short notice, but if you go to wruw.org between 12 & 1pm, you can listen to my son Ben , who is taking over a radio show today for his roomate Justin, who is under the weather!
Dark eyed junco

I got an early Christmas present. It’s A new camera with a 12x zoom.
A few things…

I started decorating for Christmas.

I discovered that my camera actually has a built in zoom. But I still ordered the 2x accessory lens on line and should be able to take better bird pictures soon.

We’ve been building alot of these lately…
