We have three cats at our house these days. Bree, who is not pictured, still goes outside but he is 16 years old and pretty much spends his days napping. We also have Pigeon who likes to go outside and play. When she is ready to be let in, we see her peeking though the window. Of course there is Rikki who always wants to go outside…
A couple mornings ago I woke up with a headache, and that wonderful husband of mine brought me coffee in bed, before he left for work. I should have known that something was up, when I noticed that the furntzer basket was completely empty.
I walked into the kitchen, and I opened a cupboard. OK, there’s one.
Then there’s the three I found in the fridge.
One in the fruit bowl…
One by the spice rack…
And one sleeping, in the frying pan!
Last Thursday we had a bit of car trouble. I took my mother-in-law to a doctor’s appointment, and we ended up using their valet parking, so she wouldn’t have far to walk. When we were all done and the car was brought around, the driver told me there was a little problem. He had dented my car!
He then proceded to tell me that it could be easily fixed by me with the use of a plunger. Um - no. Anyway, the estimate to get this fixed (on their insurance) is $750. The man that gave me the estimate pointed out a black oval, in the middle of the dent. It would appear that the guy that had dented my car, had tried that plunger trick himself, before he handed me back the car.
But that was not the end of our troubles. My daughter Megan came home for a visit that evening. She was about to leave when she said: “By the way dad, why did you change my licence plate?” He did not change her licence plate! So, after looking at her car and discovering that some nefarious person had switched her back licence plate with a different one, we called the police. Yikes.
Last Saturday, Chris & I went shopping and I came home with a 4GB Memory Stick for my digital camera. This is a little card that fits into a slot at the bottom of my camera. Ben tells me that the technology of this is similar to that of a jump drive. The result of adding this device is 4 gb of additional photo storage. That would be four billion extra bytes.
Now, I can change the resolution of my pictures from 3 megapixels to 6 megapixels, thus doubling the clarity. Also I can now increase the amount of pictures from 20 at 3 megapixels, to 1300 pictures, at 6 megapixels. All for around $25 dollars.
I cropped this cardinal out of a much bigger picture. He shows up a lot more clearly at the higher resolution.
These pieces belonged to my mother and grandmother. They are actually silver not gold, but I liked the way this picture came out so I used it. I have no idea what their special uses might be. Let me know if you do.
